40 Years Ago – The Hannes Keller 1,000 foot Dive . We re-visit one of the world’s most controversial dives where Hannes Keller walked on the open sea bed at 1,000 feet. Unfortunately it cost the lives of two British divers, Peter Small and Chris Whitaker. The 21-page article is divided into six separate chapters with contributions from Keller, Al Tillman and Dick Anderson who were all present the day of the dive.
