accomplishment

changing
DEMA
from
a
manufacturing
organization
to
one
which
other
interests
in
the
diving
community
were
included
and
represented
on
the
Board.
This
was
a
continuation
of
a
process
started
by
Michael
Chapman.
Served
on
the
board
of
Ocean
Futures
while
President
1996-2003
Historical
Diving
Society
USA-
Chairman
Served
as
chairman
entire
term.
Major
accomplishments
was
working
with
Leslie
Leaney
to
encourage
and
help
other
countries
found
their
respective
HDS
organizations
(Mexico,
Russia,
France).
Served
on
the
Scuba
Diving
Hall
of
Fame
(Grand
Cayman)
as
chairman
of
HDS.
Term
limits
caused
me
to
leave.
2004-
Rejoined
the
Historical
Diving
Society
as
Board
member
2005-
Joined
Divers
Alert
Network
as
Board
member
Other
activities
included
bringing
the
Deane
Helmet
(1833)
and
the
Rouquayrol-Denayrouze
scuba
unit
(1865)
to
be
exhibited
in
the
United
States.
Working
with
Skin
Diving
Resource
Group
(SDRG)
to
bring
their
issues
before
DEMA.
Received 2005 NOGI from the Underwater Academy of Art and Science for distinguished service
